well it all looks very yummy but then that's the idea isn't it. You weren't thinking about food at all until you walked past this café, then hey presto you feel hungry and only some fatty/sugary/stodgy cholesterol raising food will fit the bill.

It's a simple theory, put photos of the food under their noses and a large percentage of the population won't be able to resist.

It's a fairly common type of shot in urban photography - camera pointing skywards amid towering buildings - but the title, suggesting an opposite feeling to that of vertigo when looking up in such a setting, I think is unique.
Re' the "spare £120".. I'll see what I can do ;)

what beautiful patterns the frost has made definatly an artwork in itself.

I like the fact that you say 'art should never lose it's playful, humorous side' this is a sentiment i agree with, why should art be stuffy and only for 'intellectuals'? The 'stuffed shirts' should remember that 'beauty [and art] is in the eye of the beholder' and we are all capable of appreiating both to some degree.

Blair's delusional justification / conviction over Iraq seems only to increase over time.

Tony Blair this afternoon justified the invasion and incredibly said we should invade Syria.
My impression is that he is demented.....is eyes looked very strange ........ I am surprised this his wife, a judge, hasn't left him or divorced him. She is meant to have good sound judgement.

Which cumulatively, through both Labour and Tory, leads us to precisely the financial and social mess we're in today.

How much longer do we credit them with trust and belief?

Funny, I was only yesterday perusing my library of TV screenshots of Broon & family walking to the gates of Downing street after handing in his notice to quit to Queenie.
With the right kind of eyes you can just about make out the fingernail scratch marks down the No 10 door paintwork where they had to prise him away.

If the country is being saved, David, its people sure are are a darned ungrateful lot!

Oh yes! do lets go hillwalking, i would feel so much better after a lovely jaunt in the fresh air and breathtaking scenery would recharge my batteries. :-)

But the base cause of her despair is, i feel in this case, likely to be more the reaction of others to her physical appearance.
Ditto the severe anorexic.

An early London Dadaist, Valerie Alexander, produced a work that featured a rolled-up copy of the "blindingly punishing" Heat Magazine... stuffed down a toilet.

Yet who can alter innate human worship at the body beautiful altar ( TM )

Anyone else find it astounding, that one of the very few artworks that brings to light most of what is wrong about the UK and troublesome for 90% of its population ... gets not a single comment in 4 days?

There is an insipid cruelty towards obesity, where we entirely become blinded by fear of changing to become less than photo perfect. Particularly, since the media is blindingly punishing. What this picture showed me for the moment it was captured was some incredibly sad moment of despair for the woman whatever her personal circumstances that led to it. Irrespective of whether her comfort was eating or media pushes food out to us as a comfort source, I suppose I didn't tune that out but what really tuned in for me was what seemed to be the deep lonelinest of a fellow human being here, in the now of that shot. Were she to have been an bony skinny model - in the same pose, our perceptions slant and if she were a beautiful woman in the same pose... Do we feel less contempt, or disgust or indifference?
